In 2006 Soenen decided to add laser processing to its portfolio.
Through technology transfer, testing and a schooling project,
Soenen has designed a 3D cutting module for cutting different type
of profiles.
This strategy enables Soenen to maintain our position as one of the
market leaders in profile handling and cutting applications for
metal sheets and profiles.
In 2007 Soenen sold two brand new laser machines for Boeing whereby
one system has been patented.
Soenen has determined its strategy for the laser market and it is
focusing on following market segments: 3D laser cutting of
profiles, 2D cutting of large, out of range sheets and 3D welding
applications.
Soenen has designed a 3D gantry machine with modular design which
will guarantee a complete range of laser machines in the near
future.
