When Romain Soenen launched his company in 1924, more than 80
years ago, that was the start of the Group Soenen as we know Soenen
today- a solid and flexible company with 4 divisions, 130
employees, a turnover of 20 million Euros and references around the
World.
Soenen thanks this growth to an enthusiastic Group of dedicated
employees, an open-minded management, professional suppliers,
motivated agents and a strong long-term vision on the future by the
3th generation of the family business.
Romain Soenen started his business by manufacturing handmade
tooling and small eccentric presses. But, it was under the impulse
of his son Hubert Soenen that Soenen started with the batch
production of eccentric shears and press brakes.
After the flower power of the ’60 Hubert Soenen decided to focus on
special, tailor-made machines for the sheet metal industry. His
vision was clear: Soenen will start where other manufactures will
give up because it simply does not fit their assortment.
Today Nico and Bruno Soenen are leading a flexible organisation,
and with more than 80 years experience, Soenen has become a
statement in the world of sheet processing. Niche markets became
our playground and further development delivered us long-term
relationships among our worldwide customers.
Since ’75 all installations are equipped with in house developed
CNC control systems. Due to this successful development Soenen
decided to launch a spin-off Soenen Controls – that focuses on
hard- and software solutions in different market segments.
Since 2005 Soenen Beijing was launched to support the sales and
after sales activities on the Chinese market. Today, sales and
after sales are still managed from Belgium and a worldwide network
of exclusive agencies guarantees our international sales
objectives.
