Assema, based in Kragujevac, was launched in 2005 as a
subsidiary from Soenen, the leading Belgian manufacturer of
custom-made machines for the sheet metal industry. Soenen stands
for high-quality solutions in the field of production technology –
from perforating presses to CNC punching lines, transformer core
cutting lines, slitting lines and custom-made laser applications.
Our team in Kragujevac is counting today 22 employees and will keep
growing. Due to the expansion of our activities in Kragujevac,
including the start-up of a new product in our portfolio and the
building of a new factory in 2009, we are looking for at least one

Field Service Engineer Automation – Worldwide active
Function:
Your tasks involve service interventions as well as installation
and commissioning of new machines. For new production lines, your
work starts with the first set-up of the machine in the factory in
Kragujevac or in Roeselare – Belgium. Guided by the Automation
Project Engineer, you are responsible for several software
adjustments. Afterwards you start the installation of the machine,
whether this is together with the Project Engineer or by yourself.
This way, you are well placed to lead the installation and
commissioning on site. You analyze upcoming problems concerning
reporting, you run tests, you communicate with our customer and
train the operators. Where necessary you execute small changes to
the electrical installation or make restricted software
adjustments. Finally you deliver a machine which functions
according to the quality and functional standards of Assema and
Soenen.
Profile
You have an Engineering Degree in Electro-Mechanics , Mechanics or
Electronics and you are prepared to travel worldwide for about 60%
of your time, this for as well short periods of 2 to 5 days as well
as several weeks. When abroad, you function with a high degree of
autonomy. You are customer oriented, stress resilient, always
looking for strong and pragmatic results. Your knowledge of English
is well above average. Because new Field Service Engineers follow a
thorough training together with an experienced colleague, this job
is also open to starters.
In this role, a good knowledge of Industrial programming is
essential. Our ideal candidates already have experience in this
domain, or can give proof of a background that allows them to learn
fast. Most used PLC languages in our machines are Siemens,
Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff...
