Assema, based in Kragujevac, was launched in 2005 as a
subsidiary from Soenen, the leading Belgian manufacturer of
custom-made machines for the sheet metal industry. Soenen stands
for high-quality solutions in the field of production technology –
from perforating presses to CNC punching lines, transformer core
cutting lines, slitting lines and custom-made laser applications.
Our team in Kragujevac is counting today 22 employees and will keep
growing. Due to the expansion of our activities in Kragujevac,
including the start-up of a new product in our portfolio and the
building of a new factory in 2009, we are looking for at least one

Design Engineer Mechanical Engineering – Machine Building
Function:
Based on the global concept, you work together with Design
Engineers in Kragujevac and Belgium on the mechanical design of the
sheet metal machines. You take discussed functionalities in
consideration, make improvements and adjustments and modify the
project to a final stage. For the detail drawings (parts and
components) you cooperate with the drawers, you supply them with
the correct information and answer to their technical questions.
During all these steps, you keep in mind the foreseen deadlines and
show if necessary initiative for improvement. You will also be
engaged for the design of new concepts and prototypes on a regular
base together with the R&D department.
Profile:
You posses a Master Engineer Mechanics. You are fluent in English.
Because of your excellent mechanical perception and your affinity
towards construction of machines, your designs are as pure as
functional and cost-conscious. You are strong in working according
design and data exchange guidelines and you can fluently
communicate your ideas towards your colleagues in Serbian and
English. You are prepared to travel worldwide for about 30% of your
time, this for as well short periods of 4 to 5 days as well as
several weeks You fluently design with 3D software like Cocreate
One Space Designer or comparable and find your way in a 2D program.
